The Sunset Drive-In opened on 28th July 1955. Name changed to Maribyrong Hoyts Drive-In in 1967 when Hoyts took over. The drive-in closed in 1990, a year after the Highpoint Cinema opened across the road. The site is now a Homemaker centre.
