White Heart Hotel - Spring Street and Bourke Street, C.1917

1846: The Original Hub - Long before social media, the Old White Hart Hotel was the "front row" of Victorian politics. Politicians would stand on the corner balcony to deliver booming election speeches to the crowds outside Parliament House!

1870: The Victorian Masterpiece - Charles Lister rebuilt the site into a massive, multi-story landmark to match the "Marvellous Melbourne" era.

1920s: A Royal Upgrade - The Windsor purchased the White Hart and connected the two internally. After a visit from the Prince of Wales in 1923, the whole complex became The Hotel Windsor.

1960: The Modern Shift - Sadly, the grand Victorian building was demolished to make way for the 4-story "North Wing" we see today.

1995: The Hard Rock Era - Who remembers the giant guitar? For 12 years, the Hard Rock Cafe was a popular meeting spot in Melbourne before closing in 2007
