Federal Coffee Palace, 555 Collins Street, C.1972
It was built as a temperance hotel called the Federal Coffee Palace. It was once the largest hotel in Australia and had over 400 bedrooms, billiard rooms and a French sign over the entrance that read: "Stay here, you'll be welcome."
