Hearne's Pork Shop - 19 Swanston Street, C.1912
Hearne's Pork Shop opened in Swanston Street, opposite St Paul's Cathedral, in 1879. Amongst all the cuts of pork, can be seen two small pigs on the counter. Like many butcher shops of the day, the floor was covered in sawdust as a way of preventing slipping. Hearne's Pork Shop closed in 1929
