Greens Building, 62 Swanston Street (since demolished). C.1925
Greens Building was an attractive six story building that contained a mix of retail and office space. Three banks of large picture windows ensured a light-filled interior for the red brick and cement building. This made it a perfect location for the interior decoration and paint business of H. J. Corder which occupied half of the structure. Corder, who also ran a paint factory from 240 Chapel Street Prahran, regularly travelled to Europe to source the latest designs of wallpaper for his clients.
