Intersection of Bourke Street and Swanston Street, C.1900
Pedestrians cross Bourke Street heading north on Swanston, as an east-bound Cable Tram heads up Bourke.
The Orient Hotel was on the North East corner of the intersection... officially 260 Bourke Street. It was built in 1880 and replaced in the 1930s by the landmark Foy and Gibson building that stands on the corner today.
