The Bridge Road cable tram terminating at Hawthorn Bridge, where it met a horse drawn tram running via Burwood Rd, Power St and Riversdale Rd to Auburn Rd, it was the final horse tram route in Melbourne to be electrified in 1916. The Depot was on the corner of Riversdale and Auburn roads, but is now long since demolished.
The only physical remnants of any of the city's former horse tram networks are an avenue of Moreton Bay Fig trees in Royal Park marking the path of the former Zoo route, and tracks that were incorporated into the St Kilda-Brighton tram route run by the Victorian Railways.
