The NGV will take the place of the lovely carparking (formerly Wirth's/Olympia Theatre site, destroyed by fire 1953) in 1967. Mobil building is under construction (apartments today).
Neighbour Glacarium will be destroyed by fire in 1961. Traingular YMCA at Sturt & City Rd (which still meets St Kilda Rd at grade) demolished for Arts Centre, c.1980.
