Melbourne Hospital, corner of Swanston and Lonsdale Streets, C.1862 - 1868

The hospital was completely rebuilt on a much larger scale between 1910–1916. It became the Queen Victoria Hospital in 1946, when the Melbourne Hospital relocated to Parkville. Most of the buildings were demolished after the Queen Victoria Hospital relocated to Clayton in 1987, except for the Main Pavilion which was refurbished & became the Queen Victoria Women's Centre.
