Grantown House, Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, C.1965
It was built before 1858 and started as a double storeyed, verandaed terrace house. In 1871, its architect, George Browne added twelve rooms and stables.
When advertising the property, George boasted that it: "Contains in all 20 rooms and outhouses, also large kitchen, cellar, 2-stall stable, coach-house, hayloft man's room, and every convenience for a large private family, clubhouse, or family home.
