Russell Street Police Head Quarters, Russell Street, C.1944
Looking north along Russell over LaTrobe to what was then the newly opened Victoria Police Headquarters, with the D24 communications tower on top.
The building was designed by Public Works Chief Architect Percy Edgar Everett and was constructed between 1940 and 1943. It was of course the site of the Russell Street bombing in 1986. The Victoria Police vacated the building in 1996. The building was converted to apartments.
