The Boat Train which ran between Flinders Street and Port Melbourne stations from 1936 to 1939. The 6 car train was painted mid-blue with silver roofs and had 'The Boat Train' signs in red. It was used to connect with Overseas passenger shipping but ceased in 1939 because of a lack of patronage due to World war 11.
